There was a place called The Recycle Center which was just that - lots of unpredictable stuff.
First time I saw this "portable embalming table" I stood over it and debated it for 15 minutes then made myself leave.
It is very large.
When I went back it was still there. After a few more minutes of staring at it I knew I had to get it.
I think I semi-consciously wanted to give another artist a crack at it - maybe a more talented painter than me.
But in the end it felt like it was going to be me or nobody.
The medium/theme combo seemed obvious - necrophilic undertones with a splash of neo-romanticism.
It looks pretty good in person.
